Oil Painting has been an activity I've enjoyed for many years.  It was relaxing after working and living in Wisconsin where the winters are long and cold.  When I retired, I became a full time RVer and did not have the space or time to paint.  After settling in Alpine, I began painting again after a 10 year absence.  A class at Sul Ross taught by Deborah Allison gave me the encouragement to proceed.

I enjoy driving around the Big Bend area, taking photographs and then transferring those pictures to oil.  I particularily like to paint the desert and the many colors of the area--sunsets are a favorite.  Nowhere I have ever lived before has the beautiful and striking colors of the Big Bend's sunsets.
